skyline and lake, originally uploaded by chloeloe.

I dreamlike photo to end the year...here's to a lovely 2009.

This amused me - the name is rather familiar! :D
Spotted on Market Hill, Woodbridge.

Wonderful mosaic step on Norwich Road, Ipswich. Now a bridal-wear shop.

Orford Quay. More pics on Flickr. I love a bit of mud, a bit of water and rotting groynes. Does it for me everytime. ;)

Saturday, 27th December 2008

Ma tries out her Christmas pressie, and develops a taste for pyromania along the way.

Friday, 26th December 2008

No pic - was clearly having too much fun to take photos on Boxing Day!

Thursday, 25th December 2008

Christmas Day! And this is what a pussycat full of turkey giblets looks like. :)

Our Christmas Tree!

Tuesday, 23rd December 2008

My Grandma's old shop (in her day called 'The Good Cook') in the Thoroughfare, Woodbridge.

Monday, 22nd December 2008

I suffered from train journey home from hell. Took nearly SIX hours due to delays. Grrrrrr! Home now, and back to living out of a suitcase for a fortnight.

Sunday, 21st December 2008

A good amount of sock knitted.

Saturday, 20th December 2008

No pic - I'm rubbish at this 'photo-a-day' thing.

Friday, 19th December 2008

Part of my Christmas pressie from the lovely Miss Woodham, Ulrich the Chilli plant. Isn't he sweet?

Wednesday, 17th December 2008

Well, apart from presenting my first conference paper EVAR, most of the rest of the conference was spent trying to remember how to do cats cradle. Here's Ceri, pondering what the next move should be!

Tuesday, 16th December 2008

Throughout the conference an installation featuring dropped, mislaid and found objects was developed. I was surprised to find the discarded label from my new notebook featured!

Monday, 15th December 2008

John Foster Hall, University of Leicester, the venue for the Material Worlds conference which started today. Spent most of it stuck in a room, on my own (I was the resident techie for the computer room).

12th - 14th December 2008

'Fraid there are no pics for these dates. Was really suffering from the lurgy and didn't get up to much. Would you have preferred me to photograph a pile of snotty hankies? No, I thought not. ;)

Thursday, 11th December 2008

The day of the seminar. The day of poor Billy's demise. The day of the cold from hell. The day of the PhD Christmas Party (with added arguments). And, the day of the being stopped by the Police and breathylised. Not me, the landlady. Altogether, a physically and emotionally draining day.
Sally Sheinman - Count me exhibition at the Richard Attenborough Centre (venue for the seminar).

Wednesday, 10th December 2008

No pic - ill. V. poorly indeed. Bleurgh.

Tuesday, 9th December 2008

Stuffing delegate packs for the Rethinking Disability Representation seminar on Thursday. Like those bags? I ordered them, I did. Like those pencils? Ditto. :)

Monday, 8th December 2008

Secret Christmas present for Christa? Check! (Which I can now reveal, it being the 31st Dec!)

According to Bob, you haven't lived until you've had a German sausage. Ahem.
Bavarian Market, Gallowtree Gate, Leicester.

Friday, 5th December 2008

Someone had tied red ribbons round the trees near the War Memorial on Victoria Park. Something to do with Remembrance Sunday?

Thursday, 4th December 2008

HRH visited the University to open the new Library. And here she is...or, at least, her pink hat.

Wednesday, 3rd December 2008

I decided it was a really good idea to start writing my conference paper...by hand. Yes, I'm losing it.

Tuesday, 2nd December 2008

I'm such a ditz - discovered this lunchtime at work that I'd been walking about with the label still on my coat sleeve - duh! *facepalm*

Monday, 1st December 2008

It makes me quite sad to post this picture, cos on the 11th Dec poor Billy was hit by a car just outside the house, and killed instantly. But here he is enjoying one of his most favourite pastimes; fighting his way out of a paper bag. It was a short life, but a kitten couldn't have wanted for more...sardines on tap and a host of adoring fans.

Sunday, 30th November 2008

University Choral Society Christmas Concert at St Johns, Clarendon Park. Apart from getting shoved off the stage, and the orchestra f**king up the last chorus of The Messiah Part I, it went pretty well.

Saturday, 29th November 2008

Gorgeous colours in the winter sun.

Friday, 28th November 2008

I treated myself to a super-trashy (fake) leopard-print coat. OMG, I've wanted one since I was fifteen! ;)

Thursday, 27th November 2008

No photo...again.

Through the keyhole...the hole in my ceramic lamp, to be exact (can you tell I'm running out of photo ideas for those days I'm stuck at home working?).

Um...missing posts?

Yeah, there are a few days missing. The 22nd to 24th November to be exact. They're happily ensconced on my external hard drive in Leicester: my laptop and I are in Suffolk. Oh well, I will add them when I'm back in the Big L in the New Year.

Friday, 21st November 2008

I went to the V&A for the Cold War Design conference, and spotted this ceramic figure of Lu Xun in the Tsui Gallery...has repercussions for my thesis. Good ones!

Thursday, 20th November 2008

A bit of creative relief: I customised my old Primark jacket with vintage buttons. I'm very pleased with it!

Wednesday, 19th November 2008

Put more knitting patterns on eBay...

Tuseday, 18th November 2008

The Wombles and Thomas the Tank Engine are the themes for this year's Christmas tableux.
